US VISA PROPERTY PURCHASE 

Our client was a Chinese executive based in Beijing whose son was studying at Columbia University in New York. He was studying under a student visa and had expressed a desire to remain in the US after completing his degree in order to find a higher paying job than what he would have been be able to achieve if he returned to China. PRE was retained to provide advice in respect to investment visa requirements and subsequently to search and acquire a suitable property on behalf of the son. PRE found and negotiated the purchase of a new apartment in a mix-use project in uptown New York. The son is now living in the apartment which has appreciated 18% on the purchase price and he has also been successful in obtaining his Green Card.
